My connection to Indianapolis runs deep—I’ve lived here for most of my adult life. For the longest time, I wasn’t sure is there an amtrak station in indianapolis until a family emergency led me to take the train instead of flying. That’s when I discovered the downtown Amtrak station, and honestly, I was impressed. It’s not a massive transit hub, but it’s functional and historic, with just the right amount of charm.
