Working with electric cables: things you need to know
The conductors of teh cables need to be insulated, whether the cable is a single-core or multi-core. If it is a single wire only, it can be a bare copper conductor like the one used in the earthing and lightning protection systems or will be insulated. If it is insulated, we will have outer insulation on the wire, but also, in some certain cases, we may also have an outer jacket like nylon, or it may have a sheath above the conductor’s insulation.
