The Middle East is an area where car is king and fuel is inexpensive, frequently leaving little incentive to find more environmentally-friendly methods of walking around.
But this year, as demonstrations throughout the Middle East have actually risen the rate of oil, the concern of finding alternative sources of fuel has come into sharp focus.
In an area that has one of the greatest carbon footprints in the world, one organization is benefiting from the growing pressure to discover options to oil. It's set up the Middle East's very first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing successful too, currently their client-list includes McDonald's.
